After the screening of VIKTORIA, Krum Rodriguez shared with the audience his experience as DOP in the film and all the intentions behind a story with a big presence of the History. That same morning, Krum presented the film at a press conference.

After the screening of NO ONE’S CHILD, Miroslav Mogorovic shared with the audience his experience as producer in a film with a strong story which grows as the same level as the metaphor between the boy’s story and the History of the country does too. The morning before, Mr. Mogorovic shared table with Carlos Marques Marcet (one of the directors of the year in Spain) for explaining to young professionals how to develop a script, from the paper to the screen.
OFF THE WALL GOES TO COLLEGE: Producing in the Balkans

Miroslav Mogorovic is one of the most reknowned producers in the former Yugoslavia. Expert in co-production and with a background as exhibitor and festival organizer, his lecture about how the project of NO ONE’S CHILD (Recent Winner in Venezia’s Settimana della Critica) was far beyond film production. URV student enjoyed all the process of developing a project, from script to exhibition, dealing with the special context that Balkan territories went through the last years.

Krum Rodriguez is the Director of Photography of the film VIKTORIA. A stunning movie that reconstructs the life in Bulgaria and the decay of the past regime during the last 20 years. Design Production and Cinematography are the main tools used by Director/Producer Maya Vitkova to bring us to that era. DOP Krum Rodriguez shared some of those techniques with university students.
OFF THE WALL GOES TO COLLEGE: Being creative in Eastern Europe

The presence of mr. Vladan Petkovic, film critic, Screen International delegate in former Yugoslavia, in the city was really useful for university students. He releases a special lesson on the reality of culture and creative industries in Eastern Europe. Some tips about how to be journalist and surf in European waves were really appreciatted by Journalism students too.
KNOWING THE BALKANS REALITY: Teenagers’ talking

Screening and presentation of the film NO ONE’S CHILD (Spanish premiering at REC Festival) to an audience composed by teenagers, high school students and teachers. The film was presented by the pedagogue specialist in arts Marina Vives and Vladan Petkovic, film critic, delegate for Screen International in former Yugoslavia. The screening was followed by an interesting and charming Q&A between students and Vladan Petkovic, based on his personal knowledge of the context both historical and cinematographic of the territory.
ART DEMOLISHES WALLS: Mapping show

During the whole month of November, Caixaforum auditorium screened one film per week from our program until the beginning of the REC Festival (3rd – 8th December). To celebrate the conclusion of those previous activities, underline its success, and marks the kick off the week of the festival, a mapping was projected in the wall of the CaixaForum building. ART DEMOLISHES WALLS tells how the art and creative people have the potential of breaking down all the limits that they may face to. Current audience and people walking by were attracted by the show, and noticed the celebration of the special program and the festival, a really special thing was happening in the city.

A meeting with the Czech writer Petr Placak, author of the film’s novel (writer and historian, a major protagonist of underground literature of the 1980s), followed by a projection of the film.
Special Screening of MIRAGE & Red Carpet with Isaach de Bankoleé
November 19th, 2014. Coca-Cola Plaza, Tallinn (Estonia).
MIRAGE is a film devoted to explain the current situation of foreign workers in the Hongary from nowadays. Included in the special program OFF THE WALL the aim is to tell how the changes experimented by the country during the last years can influence the life of people. The protagonist of the film is the international star Isaach de Bankoleé, who accepts to visit the festival for introducing the film. The presence of the actor helped to bring more people to theatres during the screenings of the film while giving more presence of the project in the media.
